Smoothing the Way exists to serve the new homeschooler. We offer you information that will make your first year less confusing. We also offer you the opportunity to meet other new homeschoolers who are sharing your experiences — both good and bad! You will meet veteran homeschoolers who can reassure you that these experiences are very normal and can help you to navigate through your first year.

Membership with Smoothing the Way includes the following benefits –

• Attendance at local meetings covering member workbook outlines

We offer groups in several states and members are encouraged to take advantage of those local meetings. Feel free to attend either the webinar or the local meeting – or both!

Registration fee is $75. Member workbooks for the 2008/2009 year will begin shipping July 15, 2008. Introductory webinars held June 3 and July 1 are open to all current members and will be available for playback by members. Webinars covering the member workbook for 2008/2009 will be held the first Tuesday of each month at 8 pm CST, beginning August 5. (Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for your book to arrive.)

Smoothing the Way will benefit you the most if you join by August and attend as many meetings as possible throughout the year.  The calendar is designed to address your needs as you encounter them.  We do know, however, that people begin homeschooling all through the year.  For this reason, you are welcome to join Smoothing the Way at any time!  The most important thing is for you to find the support you need to make you a more successful homeschooler.

Make your payment online via PayPal.

On the PayPal payment page, please include the following details in the "Membership Info" field.

• Your name (if different than your PayPal account name)
• Your address (if not listed in PayPal)
• Your phone number
• If you qualify for the $65 special offer, include the name of your qualifying organization.

PayPal will email you a receipt for your payment. Please print a copy of your receipt as temporary proof of membership until your card and book arrive.
