Smoothing the Way online

Smoothing the Way meetings are led by Christians and meeting format and information will often have a Christian flavor. But the meetings are open to people of all faiths. Smoothing the Way is about home schooling, not about converting members to any particular religious denomination. Even though leadership is Christian, we have found these meetings to be helpful to all who attend, regardless of their particular belief system.

Smoothing the Way exists to serve the new homeschooler. We will offer you information that will make your first year less confusing. We will also offer you the opportunity to meet other new homeschoolers who are sharing your experiences — both good and bad! You will meet veteran homeschoolers who can reassure you that these experiences are very normal and can help you to navigate through your first year.

Smoothing the Way will benefit you the most if you begin the program in August and attend as many meetings as possible throughout the year. The calendar is designed to address your needs as you encounter them. We do know, however, that people begin homeschooling all through the year. For this reason, you are welcome to join Smoothing the Way at any time! The most important thing is for you to find the support you need to make you a more successful homeschooler.

The $60.00 enrollment fee covers the cost of a notebook, attendance at the 10 meetings, monthly webinars, plus many program extras. A limited number of scholarships are available. Do not let the cost of the program prohibit your participation!
