I already have a passion to see new home schooling moms be successful and happy with their home schooling experience.... Smoothing the Way provides me a simple, proven way to help these new home schooling moms along the path, and I don’t have to re invent the wheel! It’s already put together in a logical format for me.... The combination of information presented is what makes STW valuable. As new home schoolers, moms all have access to great information about home schooling from books or the internet. The trouble is, because we don’t know what we don’t know, we don’t recognize what the most vital things are for us to understand right away. Smoothing the Way gets that information into the hands of a new mom right off the bat. If she’ll take it to heart, her path can be much smoother than it otherwise might have been. I feel blessed beyond belief every time I see the confident smile of one of my Smoothies!

I'm living proof that "ANYBODY" can homeschool. I never wanted to homeschool. I was going to be the PTA mom and live at the school. The problem is everyone in my family and my husband family homeschool. I began to feel pressure "to" homeschool. My daughter wanted to go to school and so I checked out two of the local elementary schools. They were perfectly lovely and we had friends whose children went there and were doing great. Before I enrolled her though, I really felt I should give this homeschooling thing a try. Well, I can tell you I was a failure. I have NO patience, I fought with my daughter every day over her lessons and we both cried more than we learned. My homeschooling neighbor tried to help me, to no avail. That is when I heard of STW. I went to my first meeting and it was as if the scales fell off my eyes. Meeting after meeting I learned how to teach my daughter, how to relax and how to actually enjoy the experience. I have to tell you though, that the most amazing thing I learned at STW was about my husband. When we learned about love languages, I saw my hubby in a new light. You not only changed my teaching, you changed my marriage! I'm now the leader of a homeschool support group, a co leader of an enrichment co op, and homeschooling my two daughters. I love this life! Thank you for STW, you made homeschooling a amazing reality for this mom.

Thank you so much for this program. I think I would have given up on trying to start the Homeschooling after researching it on my own, if it hadn’t been for this kind of in depth training with other experienced homeschoolers. It would have been too overwhelming without the guidance.... And of course, what a wonderful group of families to know and be able to do things together with.
